Volunteer at The Walker Center

Help Us in Our Social Justice Mission

As a multicultural global meeting place, The Walker Center for Ecumenical Exchange must be always in sync with the demands of a constantly changing world. While our staff is fully dedicated to the pursuit of our mission, the success of our nonprofit organization depends upon the support and commitment of our volunteers.

We seek and welcome new volunteers who are dedicated to helping us provide the highest level of hospitality so that we can continue to grow as a vital global meeting place. If you are interested in serving the mission of The Walker Center for Ecumenical Exchange, we invite you to contact our executive directors Josh and Amy Lunde-Whitler at 617-969-3919 or email them at director@walkerctr.org. Unpaid internships for resume-building and/or academic credit are considered.

Currently, we need volunteers to help us:

  • answer the phone and check guests in and out during the weekends
  • serve as dining room host/hostess during conference and retreat lunches and dinners
  • paint, plaster and keep our houses in optimal repair
  • implement marketing projects
  • spend time with our international students to help them with their English-language skills
On behalf of the Board of Trustees of The Walker Center for Ecumenical Exchange, we deeply appreciate the commitment and hard work of our volunteers.
